Buduweb takes your privacy seriously. We abide by the UK and EU rules on Data Protection.
Your information is used strictly for internal purposes. We collect customer data when you sign up for our service. We collect your address, contact details, details about domain names, websites, hosting and payment information.
We will use the information you provide us to process your application for our services, and to contact you in the event that there is a problem with your application or service.
Payment Processing. In order to process payments online we require the billing address for the credit card used and our external payment provider, PayPal, requires your credit card details. For details of how your information is used, please see following section.
We value your privacy and understand that you don’t want your details sold to third parties. We will not sell, trade or rent in any form your information to any third party. The information we hold about you is confidential. We will only disclose it to 3rd parties when:
you give us your consent,
it is needed by certain reputable third parties involved in running accounts and/or providing services for you
in order to obtain professional advice,
we or others need to investigate or prevent crime (e.g. to fraud prevention agencies),
the law permits or requires it, or any regulatory or governmental body requests or requires it, even without your consent, or,
there is a duty to the public to reveal the information.
When you contact us, in any way, we may make a note of this contact if it is relevant to your permanent record. This allows us to provide a higher level of ongoing customer care.
We do not store credit card details, nor pass them on to third parties. Customer credit card details are processed by PayPal. Credit Card details taken over the phone are entered onto PayPal Virtual Terminal while the customer is on the phone, and Credit Card details entered onto the site by the customer are directly processed by PayPal. Either way, Buduweb does not hold any records of customer Credit Card details.
We charge a deposit on all products. The deposit is non-refundable due to the cost of purchasing the domain name, hosting for the website and due the time involved in designing the website. Once the website has been completed and the balance has been paid we are unable to refund any money paid due to the time taken and work involved in designing the website.
Once a website package has been ordered, we will send out an invoice for a deposit towards the package. The deposit is non-refundable. At this stage the package can be cancelled and no further charge will be applied. Once work has commenced on the website, Buduweb reserves the right to charge an hourly rate for work on the site, as well as any associated costs for products or services supplied, and any payments we have made to any third parties. On occasions due to the low cost of our website packages, the charges may be more than the website package.
Non-chargeable Domain Names
Domain names can be ordered as part of the service, transferred to the service, without additional charge as follows
Web Hosting – Starter – one’.co.uk’ or ‘.com’
Web Hosting – Advanced – one’.co.uk’ or ‘.com’
Web Hosting – Professional – one’.co.uk’ or ‘.com’
Web Hosting – Extreme – one’.co.uk’ or ‘.com’
Non-chargeable domain name are non-transferable. ln the event that the non chargeable domain name(s) expires no further non-chargeable domain names can be ordered.
All additional domain names added to the account will be charged in accordance with the pricing table.
Chargeable domain names cannot be converted to a non-chargeable domain name.
Buduweb will register the non-chargeable domain name(s) with the internet registration authorities and will pay the registration and rental fees for the duration of the Customer’s Contract for the Service or for the minimum period of the domain name whichever is the longer.
The minimum period for the domain names from registration are as follows:
‘.co.uk’ – 2 years
‘.com’ – 1 year
Buduweb reserves the right to refuse to register domain names at its sole discretion. Buduweb will inform the customer of any refusal.
ln the event of termination of the service the non-chargeable domain name(s) will no longer be renewed. lt is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that Buduweb has the correct payment details and request renewal. Buduweb accepts no liability for lapsed domain names in the event of incorrect payment details or a failure by the customer to pay charges.
Transfer of Domain Names
Should you wish to transfer a domain name from Buduweb to another service provider at the end of your annual contract, a transfer fee will be payable before the domain name can be released. This is currently £25 per domain name.
How we secure, store, and retain your data.
We follow generally accepted standards to store and protect the personal data we collect, both during transmission and once received and stored, including utilisation of encryption where appropriate. We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Services you have requested and thereafter for a variety of legitimate legal or business purposes. These might include retention periods:
mandated by law, contract, or similar obligations applicable to our business operations;
for preserving, resolving, defending, or enforcing our legal/contractual rights; or
needed to maintain adequate and accurate business and financial records.

How you can access, update or delete your data.
To easily access, view, update, delete, or port your personal data (where available), or to update your subscription preferences, please sign into your Account and visit “Account Settings.” If you make a request to delete your personal data and that data is necessary for the products or services you have purchased, the request will be honoured only to the extent it is no longer necessary for any Services purchased or required for our legitimate business purposes or legal or contractual record keeping requirements. If you are unable for any reason to access your Account Settings, you may also contact us by one of the methods described in the “Contact Us” section.
We may monitor, record, store and use any telephone, email or other electronic communications with you for training purposes, so that we can check any instructions given to us and to improve the quality of our customer service.
We will monitor network traffic from time to time for the purposes of backup and problem solving and in order to ensure that you are not misusing any of the services provided to you.
‘Do Not Track’ notifications.
Some browsers allow you to automatically notify websites you visit not to track you using a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no consensus among industry participants as to what “Do Not Track” means in this context. Like many websites and online services, we currently do not alter our practices when we receive a “Do Not Track” signal from a visitor’s browser.
